AmPark's Annual Science Fair

Dear AmPark Community,

We are so excited for the 7th annual AmPark Science Fair on Wednesday, June 19th, 2019!
Unfortunately, there will NOT be a City-Wide Science Expo this year.  However, that does free us to be flexible with how projects are presented.  All students who would like to create a project are welcome to. This guide is intended to be a resource for families as you support your young scientists.  Student projects may fall under one of these categories:
  • an observational study on Madagascar hissing cockroach behavior;
  • an experimental investigation on the growth rate of corn and bean plants when grown together or separately;
  • an engineering design project that explores the ability of selected paper airplane designs to fly a certain distance
In this packet there are descriptions of what elements could be included on the Tri-fold board for each type of project as well as a set of student pages that outline the process for each kind of project.
All student participants will be celebrated and acknowledged for their efforts : )

We cannot wait to see all of your projects!

Best,
Science Fair Committee
