A Gratitude Filled Owl Blog Post for November 24th

Dear AmPark Families,

We are truly grateful for you this Thanksgiving season.  We wish you a healthy, happy, happy and safe holiday weekend.

Thank you to those that attended our PA meeting on Monday night.  Updates discussed included:

• 18 turkeys have been distributed to community families to spread holiday cheer.  Thank you to the Kammos family for organizing.
• Food items for our City Harvest Spirit week have been plentiful! 
• Our “vintage” AmPark swag sale raised needed funds for our school and cleared the way for the new designs in the new year.  Thank you to Jamie, Odaliz, and Barbara for volunteering at arrival and dismissal.
• Our Student Council, comprised of elected 4th and 5th graders, met last week and dove right into the business of continuous school improvement.
• Chef Ricardo hosted the first round of WITS Labs in classrooms.  Students learned about different herbs by smelling, tasting, and touching a wide variety and made poultry bundles.
• Due to the change in temperatures and park conditions, as well as the continued need to keep classes in pods, students will transition to active indoor lunch and recess routines.​

Family Wellness Event on December 1st from 6:00-6:30

You're invited to a Brainpower and Wellness inspired session led by AmPark Wellness Representative Audrey on December 1st!  This virtual event will be for the whole family and we hope that you'll join us for some lovingly led self-care and wellness practice.  Please be on the lookout for a Zoom link soon to follow!
