 Dear AmPark Family, It was so wonderful to see so many of you for our Parent Teacher Conferences last night, as well as for the science fair encore display this morning! We are so proud of the hard work of our AmPark scientists and grateful to your for supporting them. We had such fun celebrating all of our students who were truly all winners for their creativity and dedication to their projects. Our overall project winners, Nyquist & Hannah, with their project, "2 Minute Dark", will be representing AmPark at the District 10 Science Fair at Intech Academy next Saturday, May 18th. All families are welcome to go and see the fair, which begins at 9am. Last night, we mentioned so many exciting upcoming events during our Conferences, that I want to be sure to highlight them here and get them on your calendars: June 5th - The AmPark Spring Concert featuring ALL AmPark students will be held in the 95 yard, picnic style, from 4:30-6:00pm! Each and every one of you and your families are invited to share in an evening of song with Josh and our amazing AmPark Owl singers and musicians. May 14th-16th - Kachumber WITS Labs with Chef Victoria for all of our Owl chefs! Please see the recipe cards below if you're interested in trying it out at home! May 15th-17th - The AmPark Scholastic Book Fair is on! Teachers will send out schedules via Bloomz next week and be on the lookout for e wallet information soon. May 24th - The AmPark Basketball Playoffs featuring all of our AmPark athletes who participated in the basketball program. Times and more details will be sent along next week! Today was Lunch with Elvira featuring a presentation on the Science of Reading by Ms. Casey. Did you miss it? Please check out Ms. Casey's informational slides here. Sunday is Mother's Day and that is a most significant holiday in the hearts of all of us at AmPark. Whether you are a mother, or a mother figure, or someone who is celebrating and reflecting on the love of the mothers in your life, we wish you a most beautiful Mother's Day. To our AmPark Moms... you are your child's first and most important teacher. Our Owls are the lights in the world that they are, because you give them all that they need to shine. Thank you for the joy you imbue in them and the love that they radiate. May you have that love reflected back to you this weekend, a thousand fold. Dear AmPark Families, AmPark is conducting a fund-raising drive in order to raise needed money with Double Good Popcorn! Sale stared MAY 9th and will END on MAY 13th at 5PM. PLEASE do your best with this very important fundraiser and if you do not want to participate a donation to school would be great. The more the merrier. The proceeds will benefit all children at AmPark. We are asking that all families participate in order for this sale to be as successful as possible. Join us in kicking off the end of school year with a popular fundraiser. Double Good is a popcorn pop-up store that offers different flavors of deliciousness and is always fresh. Double Good is a virtual fundraiser which is 100% contactless. AmPark will keep 50% of the total amount sold and the popcorn ships directly to the buyer. We are looking for all families to participate!! Please create a Pop-Up Store and sell Double Good gourmet popcorn to your friends, family, co-workers! Prices range from $18-$59. Double Good Gourmet popcorn is award-winning and really delicious! There will be prizes for the top seller who will receive a $50 Gift Card. This is a 4-day Fundraiser only! Before the fundraiser begins: 1. Download the Double Good app 2. Enter our Event Code GOTPQI in the app 3. Create your Pop-Up Store The app is available for free on iOS and Android. If you choose not to create a store, that’s ok!! You can help by sending a link to family and friends, to buy popcorn from one of our existing stores OR you can donate the popcorn to first responders! Last year we had 28 pop-up stores which generated $8,540.00 for our school. If we can get more families to participate, the school can make more which will help with funding!
