Dear AmPark Families, There are several exciting AmPark announcements to share with all of you this week! First, we are absolutely thrilled to share the arrival of our newest and tiniest AmPark Family member! Fiona James Fitzpatrick was born on Saturday November 27th, happy, healthy, and gorgeous. Both Kelly and the baby are home safe and sound. We have it on good authority that they are awash in snuggles and send love to you all for the outpouring of support and well wishes you’ve sent throughout. In more wonderful news about exciting additions to our AmPark Family, we are so happy to officially announce that 2 members of our AmPark family are officially transitioning into their new roles this week. First, Elvira De Jesus (formerly known as School Security Agent De Jesus and a friendly face at our School Security desk for the past few years) is now official as AmPark’s new Parent Coordinator! Also, as of this week, our own amazing Sandra Herrera is moving into the position of AmPark's School Secretary! Sandra's email address is [email protected], should ever you need her. In more excellent news, the AmPark PA truly made all of us at AmPark feel deeply appreciated this week with a lovely Staff Appreciation breakfast this week. Thank you so much to the PA and to Odaliz, Janine, and David for being there to let us know that you value us all and for treating us to a beautiful breakfast spread! The AmPark Parents Association brings you... Love & Light on a Winter's Night on December 11th! Please join us for part of the event as a parent volunteer or make a donation to our celebration- love and light on a winters night! We will start with hot chocolate and warm cider in the school yard. We will continue on with music in the air and take a winter walk before heading back to the school yard to pick up a craft for our children to create and for our families to enjoy! My name is Elvira De Jesus, and I am the new Parent Coordinator. I thought I'd share a little bit about my background to give you a better understanding of who I am. Up until now I worked as a school safety agent in your school AmPark and PS/MS 95 among others, therefore I might look familiar to some of you. I worked as an assistant preschool teacher in a head start for over ten years as well as a home visitor for Cardinal McCloskey. I look forward to working with each and everyone of you, as a parent myself I understand your perspective and as professional I’m here to help.
