Happy Friday AmPark Families!

It was so lovely to see so many of you for last night's May Parent Teacher Conferences!  Thank you all for coming out and for supporting your children and all that we do here at AmPark.  

In case you missed our Administrative & Specials Team Session last night, here are a few highlights to know:

• May 12th from 4-5PM - AmPark's first EVER Basketball Playoffs Game will be held in the PS/MS 95 Yard and all are welcome to come and cheer on our 2nd and 3rd graders as they face off!  The 5th Grade AmPark Cheerleaders will be cheering them on as well! 
• May 15th - AmPark's Science Fair
• May 20th - District 10 Science Fair featuring AmPark's winning science project and a performance by the District 10 Chorus (singers needed, please see below!)
• June 15th - AmPark's Spring Concert will be held outside in the PS/MS 95 Yard ​

AmPark Owls, come & sing with us (& the District 10 Chorus)!

We are still looking for a few musical minded families who would be willing to learn a song and perform at the upcoming District 10 Science Fair along with members of the District 10 Chorus.  If you are interested, please email Bonnie at [email protected] and let me know!  Sara Greeson, the D10 Chorus director, will be joining us here at AmPark for a couple of during the day rehearsals on May 8th & 15th that we'd love you to join, but no pressure!  We can also just send along the song to practice and you can learn it from home.  Either way, I look forward to singing with you!

Our AmPark Owls Are 'Owl' About Birding

It has been such fun to welcome back our partners at the Audubon Society for not only our 2nd grade For the Birds birding study, but also our Feathered Friends After School Birding Club!  Our students have been enjoying some amazing and very nature filled walks in the park with Audubon volunteers.  We have been thrilled to welcome back Christian Cooper (aka Mr. Cooper) and Michele Gennaoui and their wonderful team for this amazing enrichment experience.  Chris Cooper's National Geographic show, The Extraordinary Birder, will be airing in mid-June and we'll share all the details on how to watch soon!  In the meantime, here are a few shots of our amateur ornithologists in action!
