Good Afternoon AmPark Families, It's been lovely to have your children back and looking refreshed after a long spring recess! We are racing into the home stretch of this school year and next week is a wonderfully busy and exciting one!
Each grade level team will hold 2 sessions that begin with a 20 minute recap of the current year for current families and end with a 20 minute preview of the year ahead for incoming families (please note the sessions are the same, just offered at different times to accommodate families with siblings).
The Annual AmPark Science Fair Dear AmPark Families, It’s time to start working on the AmPark Neighborhood School Science Fair! This is an exciting event that encourages students to think as young scientists. Students will not only be learning important science content but they will also have choice in their learning which will make the projects so much more engaging! They will also be strengthening their writing skills and oral presentation skills during this process. The AmPark Science Fair will be held on Thursday, May 9th! While all classes will participate in the Fair with a whole class project, students in K-3 are welcome to participate, and 4th grade is strongly encouraged to participate. 5th grade students are required to do an individual or group project. During the next few weeks your child will be thinking and planning for a science project that uses the scientific methodology that they have used in science class each year. In the future our children will need the ability to solve problems in creative ways by questioning the world around them. This science project is a great opportunity for students to practice these important skills. Please join us in supporting your budding scientists journey! Are you interested in your child participating and want to get started on your projects? Please see the information linked here: AmPark's 2024 Science Fair. The winning project will be going to represent AmPark at the District 10 Science Fair! Are you interested in coming in to see your class project? Unfortunately, due to capacity limits, we cannot invite families in for Thursday, as all of our students will be exploring and touring projects throughout the morning in the multipurpose room. So, on Friday May 10th, you're welcomed to come in and see the projects that were shared. While we cannot recreate the Fair overall, we do welcome you to come in and see the trifold boards and experiments that were created. The projects will be set up throughout the 1st floor atrium space for your viewing, should you be able to come by and check them out. We will have the projects on display from arrival at 8:15am through 10am on the 10th. AmPark Neighborhood School - Schoolwide Fundraiser Dear Parents:

Join us in kicking off the end of school year with a popular fundraiser. Double Good is a popcorn pop-up store that offers different flavors of deliciousness and is always fresh. Double Good is a virtual fundraiser which is 100% contactless. AmPark will keep 50% of the total amount sold and the popcorn ships directly to the buyer. We are looking for all families to participate!! Please create a Pop-Up Store and sell Double Good gourmet popcorn to your friends, family, co-workers! Prices range from $18-$59. If you choose not to create a store, that’s ok!! You can help by sending a link to family and friends, to buy popcorn from one of our existing stores OR you can donate the popcorn to first responders! Last year we had 28 pop-up stores which generated $8,540.00 for our school. If we can get more families to participate, the school can make more which will help with funding!
