Owl Blog Post for November 12th

Dear Ampark Families,

Thank you to our families and community members who have served our country.  We hope that you felt honored and appreciated yesterday on Veteran’s Day and we send you our appreciation every day.

As the school year has settled into more of a familiar routine than in the past two years, we will be returning to some pre-pandemic norms and reducing the volume of correspondence from the school.  The Owl will run on a bi-weekly basis beginning this week.

The pop-up vaccination clinic on Wednesday ran smoothly and many of our students were served.  Thank you to our families and volunteers for your support.

Upcoming Events:

• School Picture Days - November 16th and 17th
• Incoming Family Virtual Tour - November 19th 8:30 a.m. 
• Fall Festivities Spirit Week! To support City Harvest and as a community building activity, AmPark will participate in a fall version of Spirit Week.  Students are welcome to participate by dressing for the theme days, as well as bringing in a non-perishable item that matches that day’s theme.  All foods will be donated to City Harvest.  Students are not required to make a donation to participate in the dress up theme.
  • Monday, November 22nd - Pajama Day!  Bring a breakfast food item and wear your comfiest pjs.
  • Tuesday, November 23rd - Team Tuesday! Bring an energy booster snack item and support your favorite sports team.
  • Wednesday, November 24th - AmPark Spirit! Bring a food item that lifts your spirit and wear AmPark gear, owl themed clothing, or purple and silver/gray.

All foods must be packaged, store-bought, and non-perishable. 

Inventory from previous year’s of AmPark gear will be available for purchase at arrival and dismissal next week for a suggested donation of $10 for t-shirts and $15 for sweatshirts.  Sizes and inventory are limited.
