Happy Friday AmPark Family, It has been wonderful to hear from so many of you and your teachers about Parent Teacher Conferences yesterday. Thank you for your engagement and deep dedication to your child's education and collaboration with your teachers on supporting them both at school and at home. It truly takes a village and we're grateful always for the partnership of you, our parents and families. Thank you! Tuesday, November 2nd is Election Day and there will be no school for students. AmPark staff will engage in a day of remote professional learning, but the school building will be closed. We hope that you all will make your voices heard by going out to vote and encourage you to take your children along to the polls so that they can participate in the civic process. Our AmPark Student Council elections for 4th and 5th grade students will be held by the 10th, and we hope that they're inspired by our local election process this week! "The right to vote is precious, almost sacred. It is the most powerful nonviolent tool or instrument in a democratic society. We must use it." - John Lewis, Civil Rights Leader & 17 Term US Congressman Below please find some awesome AmPark music news from our amazing Josh, and service learning initiatives from Ms. Josie and the 4th AmPark Service Learning Group that we hope you'll support! Finally, we hope to see you again on Friday for the LIVE performance of Peter Rabbit in the AmPark Multipurpose Room! Wishing you all a beautiful (and finally sunshine filled) weekend ahead! Hello AmPark Family!! I am super excited to share the second video of the multiplication song series that I teach the students in school. Here is the 12’s Song! My goal for creating these videos is to provide a helpful (and free!) resource for as many families as possible - starting with our own Ampark community - to support their children in mastering their fluency in multiplication. So feel free to share with any other family friends you think might find it helpful as well! The repetition and rhyme built into each song help kids to memorize the skip routing sequence quickly. Also, you can add a movement element by having the kids jump along with the squirrel (named Skip) as they sing the numbers.
