Dear Families, We look forward to connecting with you this week at the Parent Association meeting on Wednesday, October 20th. At 6 p.m. you will have the opportunity to speak with new staff members Dany (AP), Bob (art) and Teresa (library). At 6:30 there will be an admin update and then it’s virtual community time with your amazing parent leaders. Election Day, November 2nd: The school building is closed for Election Day on Tuesday, November 2nd. Students will have asynchronous work shared by their teachers in packet form or the google classroom depending on the grade level. Attendance will be counted and your child’s teacher will share their method for tracking attendance on the 2nd. We will be distributing devices to families in need before the end of the month. Please use this form to indicate your need: Device Request Form We are so happy to welcome Nurse Suzi back! Please reach out to her if you need to send in medication or 504 plans: 718-548-3451 ext. 5115 Student Arrival Reminders: Thank you families for your understanding as we have worked to phase out the paper screeners. In the interest of being green, reducing the load on our limited office staff and copy supplies, and to speed up entry time we will no longer have paper copies of the screener at the ready beginning on Monday. We would also like to remind our families that the school day begins at 8:15. At this point students should be on line outside of their classrooms. If you would like for your child to be walked from the entrance to the classroom, they need to arrive prior to 8:15. Our staff members have other teaching responsibilities beginning at 8:15 and will no longer be available to support late arrival. Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation. Beginning on Monday, we will no longer have paper copies of the Health Screening at the arrival tables and ask again that all families please complete screenings digitally whenever possible. If it is not possible, please let arrival staff know and we will work to accommodate your family with copies that you can complete at home and bring in. If you would like to print copies at home, please find the link here: https://infohub.nyced.org/docs/default-source/default-document-library/doe-dece-health-screening-questionnaire_english.pdf Really Important Links & Resources on our Homecoming 21-22 Page here!
